TikTok Shop launched in the US in September 2023. Two years later, it crossed $15 billion in US GMV with 68% year-over-year growth. Europe grew over 100% in 2025. Globally TikTok Shop hit $64 billion in 2025, with Southeast Asia alone at $45.6 billion.

This is the same shape Amazon had in 2014–2016. Serious enough to matter. Early enough that the operators who learn it now will build category positions before the rest of the market arrives.

The window stays open for 24 to 36 months. After that, the operators who got here first are running the categories.
